The Role 

Key challenges and opportunities in this Board Director – corporate role:

  • Develop creative and exciting integrated communications campaigns and cross sell other disciplines
  • Huge scope, freedom and budget to lead institutional and retain financial services companies and work collaboratively with the board to build expertise and reputation
  • Use your sector expertise to keep the business  forefront of developments and changes within financial services
  • Taking on a prominent and proactive role in new business means that means you will enjoy networking and presenting
  • Act as ambassador for this consultancy’s impressive track record
  • You will be responsible for motivating, coaching and steering the team at all levels, operating within an open no-silos structure so your people management skills will be stretched

The Person

 

Key attributes and experience for this Board Director - corporate role:

  • Be a self-starter, ambitious and eager for the challenge of being a board level member
  • You will have experience of working within forward-thinking comms and thought of as a ‘trusted advisor’
  • Recent experience of working with a well-known corporate communications agency ideally at director level and know the financial services sector like the back of your hand
  • They will consider in-house corporate communications experience although you will need to have some consultancy experience to demonstrate an understanding
  • Either retail or institutional financial services experience will be considered and a fairly solid track record is desirable – b2b and/or b2c will be considered
  • Well networked and keen to use your contacts to help build the business
  • Have the ability to cross sell across communications disciplines
  • Proven track record of building teams and inspiring and motivating team members
