As PR Manager for this prestigious global law firm, you will provide PR and communications support including thought leadership, strategic content creation, directly manage media handling and messaging to support lawyers and partners across the firm.  You will be covering M&A, private equity and real estate supporting the partners with media briefings.

The Role

 

This PR Manager role will demand a proactive self-starter who can use their initiative and take a flexible approach when tackling PR projects and media handling. Based in the London office and reporting into the Head of PR, you will also interact directly with key stakeholders including practice leaders, sector group leaders and managing partners. The PR team plays a vital role in creating relevant content to support thought leadership, media handling and strategic content and messaging for the M&A practice, private equity, real estate and HR on occasion.  The role is to start at the end of June for a handover.

The key challenges and opportunities in this PR Manager – 12 month FTC role include:

  • Develop and implement media relations and work closely with the wider Brand, Communications and Marketing team to disseminate stories to other audiences across channels
  • Proactively track the news agenda, research and develop media contacts and keep up to date with relevant publications, looking for PR opportunities for the M&A, anti-trust and private equity practice
  • Work closely with Business Development teams, identify content that may be repurposed for media
  • Research and write press releases, briefings and media updates
  • Advise spokespeople on media handling so having confidence is key
  • Scope to work with the Heads of PR to defend the reputation of the company plus issues and crisis management when required
  • Support the international PR network by sharing content and advising teams on media handling

The Person

 

Key attributes and experience for this PR Manager – 12 month FTC role:

  • Experience of working in a busy public relations environment, either in a PR agency or in-house, focused on Corporate, B2B or financial communications – working with professional services or financial services clients would be an advantage=
  • Degree qualified with excellent academic record and analytical ability
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail as you are working with lawyers!
  • Confident and super friendly in order to fit into the team
  • Successful track record of managing high impact media programmes
  • Experience of issues and crisis handling and advising senior stakeholders on media engagement
