Looking for issues-led, high profile and international projects? This team pride themselves on doing senior level consultative work. They are looking for an Associate Director with discretion and confidence to oversee client work, manage teams, pursue business development opportunities and become a highly trusted communications advisor to high profile organisations, high net worth individuals and Heads of State.

The Company

This strategic independent reputation consultancy works with incredibly interesting and well-connected CEOs from industry sectors, alongside high-net worth individuals and Heads of State from all over the world.  The work is complex, issues-rich, and intellectually rigorous and much of it is international.  Every day is different and interesting projects come in all the time because of their ‘best in class’ reputation.  The team are highly collegiate, non-hierarchical and there is no internal politics.  Company events are abroad and their business is growing quickly internationally – this is the place to be.

The Role 

Key challenges and opportunities in this Corporate Associate Director role:

  • You will manage a broad portfolio of clients from all over the world including corporations and high profile individuals, establishing relationships with a charming group of well-connected intelligent people
  • Independently advise communication strategies for Chief Executives and business owners across a range of industry sectors
  • Build trust with clients, advise them on the media landscape and support them through crises and issues and develop thoughtful solutions
  • This role suits bright individuals with intellectual rigour who have the intellectual capacity to solve problems as every campaign is bespoke and complex
  • You will be managing other members of the team and overseeing client accounts
  • You will be closely involved in business development and be confident to network and bring in leads with the view of sourcing new business very selectively

The Person

 

Key attributes and experience for this Corporate Associate Director role:

  • They look for flexibility and people who can respond calmly and quickly as this is not a 9 – 5pm role and there will be international travel
  • Strong writing skills are required, a go getting attitude and resilience
  • Corporate/issues/litigation/international experience/geo-political
  • High level client servicing skills and adept at giving senior advice as you will have oversight of the clients For the crisis work - this requires a calm advisor and safe pair of hands, empathetic as dealing with stressed clients
  • This high level strategic work can have political impact too so being politically aware is ideal alongside being a creative thinker to come up with solutions for complex problems
  • Happy to travel with Directors and independently at short notice
  • Must have a good understanding of the media
  • Good networker and able to connect people and potentially bring in business
  • Languages are useful but not essential - such as German, Spanish and Arabic
