If clean energy communications is your sweet spot then this could be the role for you.  This consultancy takes an integrated approach on advising nuclear clients, low carbon industries and new technology players.  Their plan is to build a complete low energy profile and they have ambitious growth plans.

The Company

This corporate communications and government relations consultancy is based in smart offices in London. The office is light, spacious and have great views of the City.  The social life is good and everyone gets on and pulls their weight and the calibre of the people is excellent which supports this.  The energy team has data insights to map Government stakeholders and investors and graphic designers to support them with branding.   

The Role 

Key challenges and opportunities in this Associate Director role:

  • This role is a mix of 60 - 70% Government and stakeholder engagement so you need to have some experience of working with Westminster/Whitehall/local planning campaigns
  • Use your political understanding of current events and the energy landscape to provide a context for clients
  • Turn your hand to 20% media relations and 10% building content marketing to demonstrate your breadth of skills 
  • Work with the Head of Energy to drive the new business strategy and support with proposals
  • Play an active role in developing and managing a smart and driven team

The Person

 

Key attributes and experience for this Associate Director role:

  • You are currently working as a Comms Manager in-house or in an agency as an Associate Director however an ambitious Senior Account Director will be considered
  • You will have experience of corporate comms with strong media relations abilities plus government relations/public affairs, whether that’s Whitehall, Westminster or local planning – trade associations /Advisor in Government will be considered too
  • Some energy, environment and infrastructure experience is a bonus
  • Relentless curiosity about the world and a strong grasp of current affairs including the environment/politics
  • Interesting, driven nature and happy to get involved in new business development
